The ACME Foundation aims to support not-for-profit organisations working in areas that overlap with our passions. The ACME name is a rough acronym of these causes (as well as a reminder of our previous interest in Roadrunner cartoons).
A - Animal welfare, Aged care, Aviation
C - Children & young people, Climate change, Conservation
M - Motherhood, Mother Earth
E - Environment, Education, Eyesight
Each year a proportion of the ACME Foundation’s assets is invested in a limited number of eligible charities holding DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status as approved by the Australian Tax Office.
We continue to be impressed by the passion and dedication of the principals and staff of the organisations we deal with. And we wholeheartedly agree with the view expressed by the Pachamama Alliance (www.pachamama.org):
It's a common perception that donating money to a nonprofit organization or charity is like "giving money away." In actuality, people who donate are paying for, and receiving, services that they would like to see in the world that they don't have the time, resources, or skills to do themselves.

“Aid projects have a mixed record in helping people abroad, but a superb record in inspiring and educating donors.”
